Operation Blue Angel – Available to Hightstown Residents
The Hightstown Police Department is happy to announce the availability of the Operation Blue Angel Program for Hightstown residents. This free program is designed to assist residents who may need emergency access to their home.
The program is open to Hightstown residents who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Are 55 years of age or older and live alone or
- Live alone or are alone for extended periods of time on a regular basis; or
- Have a medical condition that could lead to incapacitation and live alone.
The program consists of a secure lockbox, owned and maintained by the Police Department, which is installed on the participant’s exterior door by police personnel. The lockbox contains a key to the residence, supplied by the resident.
The key will only be accessed by responding police officers in the event of an emergency when officers are unable to otherwise gain entry. The Operation Blue Angel lockbox will not be accessed for any other purpose.
Interested Hightstown residents are encouraged to print and complete the required application and waiver forms and return them to the Hightstown Police Department.
